Etika Beremail: Membalas Email

Dalam membahas email sebaiknya kita memperhatikan hal-hal berikut ini:

Hati-hati dengan memilih REPLY ALL. Pastikan hanya orang yang benar-benar membutuhkan balasan yang mendapatkan email balasan anda.
Hati-hati ketika membalas email dalam sebuah daftar distribusi tidak semua orang ingin mendapatkan ucapan atau terimakasih.
Ubah Subjek email balasan jika anda menambah informasi pada sebuah email, mungkin akan lebih berguna jika anda merubah subjek email, sesuai dengan isinya.

Cara Penyebaran Virus via Email

Virus komputer berpindah dari satu komputer ke komputer lain dengan cara menumpang pada program lainnya. Salah cara efektif yang dipakai oleh virus adalah dengan menumpang pada email. Email ini nantinya bisa menyebar ke ratusan atau bahkan ribuan alamat email lainnya.

Email yang bervirus biasanya menyertakan sebuah file attachment yang akan menularkan virus ke komputer lokal apabila sipenerima email membuka file attachment tersebut. Cara pencegahan menularan virus via file attachment masih tergolong mudah, yakni dengan cara memblokir file yang berpotensi mengandung virus selain melalui file attachment, teknik menyebaran virus via email bisa juga memanfaatkan kemampuan pengiriman email dalam format HTML. Format HTML dalam pengiriman email memungkinkan seseorang mengirim gambar dan suara atau juga script lainnya. Kemampuan inilah yang sering dimanfaatkan untuk menyisipkan script-script "jahat" yang bisa berbahaya bagi komputer kita.

Untuk menanggulangi teknik ini adalah dengan cara mengkonversi format HTML email ke plaintext. Berikut caranya:

[Start]>[all Programs]>[Outlook Express].
Klik menu [Tools]>[Options...].
Klik Tab [Read]
Cek pada Checkbox [Read all message in plain text].
Klik [OK]

Saat ini anda tidak akan menerima lagi e-mail dalam format HTML. Semua pesan akan dikonversi secara otomatis menjadi teks murni [plain text]

Rumors: Selena Gomez Spotted Leaving Justin Bieber House! Back Together?

Selena Gomez and her friend was spotted chatting with a security guard as they left Justin’s home in Los Angeles on Saturday morning — reports X17online.

Dressed in a yellow cardigan, black trousers and pink sneakers, she made quite the effort to keep her face from the cameras, instead showing off only her mousy brown locks.

Is she really Selena? A source tells X17online insisted that the woman was indeed Selena, she even headed home in one of Justin’s cars.

From X17:

“Selena looks like a young girl in love. And obviously Justin’s trying to win her back – sending her home in his car and eveerything – giving her loyal treatment.”

UPDATE:

We’re very sure the photo in question is NOT Selena. It’s her cousin Priscilla @pmdeleon22 and her friend Lexi @lexisaldivar visiting Selena from Texas.

However, that guard is in the picture is the same person with Justin earlier that night. See here:

Justin Bieber’s Ferrari Pulled Over Again!

Justin’s Bieber’s Ferrari is at the center of yet more controversy after it was pulled over by police in Los Angeles, Friday morning (Feb1).

Law enforcement officials confirm to TMZ that one of Justin’s friend — Lil Za borrowed his Ferrari and was cited by police today at 1:30 a.m. due to the vehicle’s tinted windows.

Lil Za was driving without a license and was lucky to only receive a ticket for that offense. He was cited and released.

Just a month ago, Lil Twist also borrowed Justin’s car…got pulled over for a high-speed ride…and tragedy stuck when a photographer trying to get pictures of the vehicle was hit by a passing car.

Believe Acoustic Projected to Be #1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart!

Justin Bieber’s new album Believe Acoustic is projected to land at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week, reports Billboard.com

This comes as no surprise, considering Justin is the biggest pop sensation on the planet right now. He also had four other releases hit No. 1, making this his fifth No. 1 album to date.

The new album may also give Justin a No. 1 album in four consecutive years — something only nine earlier acts have done in the nearly 57-year history of the Billboard 200 chart.

Here’s an excerpt interview with Billboard. Justin talks about breaking up with Selena Gomez:

Billboard: There’s been all this back-and-forth with both you and Selena Gomez separately covering “Cry Me a River.” The blogs have a field day speculating about what happened to your relationship.
Justin: There’s so many rumors. People say I call Selena every day and she won’t pick up the phone or I’m chasing her down, and these are all fake stories.

Do you pay attention?
I don’t go on blogs or anything like that. I hear things. People tell me if something happens on the Internet. It gets back to me, definitely.

Listening to the new songs, it seems like it’s been a wearying time for you. “Yellow Raincoat” has the line, “Fame, money and girls drive you crazy.” And of course “Nothing Like Us,” it’s kind of heavy. Are you having fun?
Definitely, all of the time. I’m 18. I have a great team around me. I have great friends. We have a blast. They keep me occupied and my mind off of the negative things. It’s funny when people are like, “You’re 18. What have you really gone through?” I’m thinking, “What do you mean? When you were 18, you don’t think that you went through stuff?” When you are 18, you’re going through that transition. You have a high school girlfriend, you might not. Going to college. Figuring yourself out, leaving home.

That’s one of the reasons that I like “Nothing Like Us.” You manage to take this very real, young feeling and make it universal. I like that the song was sweet. Scooter told me you wrote it about what happened with Selena, but he didn’t tell me what it sounded like. And if you read the blogs, you think it might be an angry song. Instead, it feels.
Because at the end of the day, there’s nothing like us, you know? That’s just it. It is what it is. People are going to relate to that.

You’re pretty heartbroken?
I’m not in the happiest place that I’ve ever been. I’m trying to get through what I’m going through. Like I said, I have my really close friends to cheer me up and keep me going.
